With the massive number of friends I have that enjoy sushi, it's a wonder that it's taken me so long to finally try sushi. It's all thanks to

After I took her to Best Buy, she decided she wanted food and offered to pay. We ended up at The Drunken Poet Cafe, a nice little place that serves Thai and sushi.
Sara got a whole pile of sushi, I only tried a few things.
In order of best to worst.
Salmon
Unagi (cooked)
Yellow Tail (tuna)
Albacore (tuna)
Some egg thing
I've been shying away from sushi knowing that fish usually makes me gag, but the salmon and the unagi were great. The yellow tail was pretty good, and the albacore wasn't. I tried the egg thing last because Sara said it was more like a dessert thing, it was also the only thing that made me gag the whole meal. Unlike the other pieces, which had the overwhelming fish flavor diluted by the rice, the egg seemed to be saturated in fish. I didn't eat the second one whole (just the egg part, not the rice) but overall, my first sushi experience was great!
Thanks again Sara! I owe you one

also some places do certain fishes and dishes better than others. dont give up on it unless youve tried it at a variety of places in different seasons. (tamago doesnt have a season, but fish do)
